Currently Smitten With...
Yeah yeah. Christmas is over I know, I know and, in theory, my wishes should have been well met, and they were believe me! But as I sit here and sip my perfectly brewed, in under 3 minutes, cup of Newman's Own Organic Extra Bold Special Blend coffee from my fabulous Keurig single cup coffee brewer, which was the best Christmas present any coffee loving gal (like me) could get from her mother and father, I just can't help but be attracted to such wonderful things. Maybe next year...

Wow Wowie WOW! The Proximidade Award
I have been awarded, by the lovely Callie Grayson of the ever inspiring blog Grayson: a different shade of gray, with the Proximidade Award! I was very flattered and honored to have received this award along with some other really great blogs. It was one of those fluttering butterflies in my stomach out of excitement feelings when I realized that Callie had given this to me. I am so thankful for my ever growing blogger community and my blogger friendships with wonderful people that I can look up to like Callie!
This award states:
The Blog Invests and believes in the PROXIMITY- nearness in space, time and relationships. These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kinds of bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in prized or self aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to writers. Deliver this award to eight bloggers who must choose eight more and include this cleverly written text into the body of their award.
Here are my 8 Choices (Go ahead! Give 'em a click and be transported to magical realms of writing wonderlands and design loving paradises. You won't be sorry!):

Illustrations from Screech Owl Design
I have conquered my finals. But, unfortunately and inevitably, in the process of overpowering my evil exams, I have had a total brain melt down. I can't seem to function correctly and bright colors hurt my eyes which seem to have become Gollum sized orbs from studying in the wee hours of the dark solely by the light of a desk lamp. So these nice, color muted illustrations from screech owl design are just what my sensitized corneas need. Have a good weekend everybody. I'm going to go sleep forever.

The Charotte "Chuck" Charles Style Guide Part One Repost
Pushing Daisies is one of my favorite television shows. Ever. What do I love about it? Will darn near everything! Chuck's outfits, Olive's outfits, Ned (sigh), the sets... oh I could gush forever. Currently one of my favored ways to spend the day is maddeningly searching the internet for pictures of Chuck's outfits and trying to recreate them. Sometimes I actually find exact pieces other times my efforts seem fruitless. But I made a grand discovery the other day. I stumbled upon (thank the Lord for Stumble!) Chuck_Chic. A livejournal dedicated to Chuck and her outfits. She has ever so painstakingly put together the Charlotte "Chuck" Charles Style Guide. Bless her soul!

Feeling Sleepy
I'm a little tired this week. I've let myself get run down these past couple of days, staying up late studying for my finals, baking dozens of gingerbread men, washing the bazillion coats my Mom and I collected for donation. I. Am. Exhausted. All I want to do is crawl back in bed. But I can't. No time. So I will dream of being in a comfy cozy bed...for now.

Crayon Sculptures (Repost from Miss Jane)
OK. Before I go into detail about this fabulous Artist and her work I have to give credit where credit is due. So a big THANK YOU! goes out to Sara Christine over at Miss Jane. She blogged about these guys a couple weeks ago and I got really excited and just had to repost them here.
These tiny and colorful crayon sculptures are from Diem Chau. Crayons have always been my favorite coloring method so I totally flipped when I saw these. Check out the detail on these guys. I love how she keeps part of the crayon wrapper on. It adds a bit of whimsy to each piece.
Creative. Novel. Supreme.

Present & Correct: Oh how I love thee
I first discovered some of the products of P&C at an elegant boutique while on my annual family vacation to Ashland Oregon for their Shakespeare Festival. The white lacquered shelves of the store were chalk full of fabulous mouth watering creations from P&C. I have fallen in love and boy have I fallen hard.

In keeping with the Skull Theme
Halloween's over I know but I just can't help myself! I don't know maybe I am just holding on to Halloween or I just really like the look of skulls. Whatever the case I found this illuminated hanging skull light fixture (boy that was a mouthful) to be very alluring.
